At k.financeco, we’re all about backing small businesses — especially the ones doing things differently.

In this edition of Kingston Uncovered, we’re excited to introduce you to Luke, the legendary, high-energy force behind Luxury Bathrooms & Kitchens, a bold and growing renovation business transforming homes in the City of Kingston.

RUNNING HIS OWN SHOW

Luke launched Luxury Bathrooms & Kitchens four years ago with a clear mission: to build something of his own, on his own terms.

“I wanted to run my own show.”

That independent spirit has served him well. From day one, the focus has been on quality work, genuine client relationships, and building a team that actually wants to come to work.

IT'S MORE THAN JUST A RENO

Ask Luke what makes his business different, and the answer’s immediate: care. Yes, they create high-end renovations — but the real point of difference? The connection they build with every client.

“We’re not just ticking off a service. It’s about building a relationship. We don’t treat clients like a number — and we don’t let culture slip on site either.”

It’s clear the whole team is on the same page. There’s fun, banter, and good vibes — but also serious pride in the standard they deliver.

PROUD MOMENTS & BIG WINS

For Luke, success isn’t just measured in square metres tiled or kitchens installed. It’s about people.

“The clientele we attract is amazing. And the team I’ve built? Ten absolute legends. The culture we’ve created is the proudest thing of all — it’s respectful, it's energising, and we’ve got a real vibe.”

The way Luke talks about his team says it all — they’re not just trades, they’re a crew that shows up for each other, brings energy to the site, and holds each other to a high standard.

WHY THE CITY OF KINGSTON?

So why set up shop in the City of Kingston?

“Simple. The people. There’s energy here. Young families, real relationships — it’s exactly who we want to work with.”

It’s not just a business decision, either. Luke is passionate about building something local — something rooted in the community.

ALWAYS CURIOUS, ALWAYS LEARNING

If Luke could trade places with any other business, it’d be Smarter Bathrooms — not because he wants to compete, but because he’s constantly looking to improve.

“I’d love to get under the hood, see how they do it, learn what works. I’m always curious. That’s how you grow.”

LOCAL LEGENDS HE RATES

Like any great local, Luke’s got love for a few fellow Kingston businesses. His shout-outs go to:

  • Peninsula Joinery & Design

  • CamSmart Electrical

  • Melbourne Diverse Plumbing

“Good businesses run by good people. Can’t go wrong.”

A BIGGER MISSION

Behind the tools, Luke’s got a bigger goal: to change the game when it comes to industry culture.

"There are way too many toxic workplaces in this industry.Rushed deadlines, burnt-out teams and greedy workmanship. It doesn’t have to be like that.”

At Luxury Bathrooms & Kitchens, culture comes first. That’s why 400+ applicants applied when they last advertised a role — because tradies talk, and word’s getting out.

“When you care about your team, growth follows. Every time.”
